While each online platform has its specific rules and regulations, here are several recognized actions that can result in a temporary or permanent ban on Planet Minecraft. While many of these guidelines might seem intuitive, if you're unfamiliar with online social media, they will be beneficial both on this platform and others.

1. Repeated Offenses

Even if a singular offense might not lead to a ban, continually violating platform guidelines can escalate penalties up to a permanent ban.

2. Harassment and Bullying

Targeting individuals, making threats, or continuous negative behavior towards others is unacceptable our platform takes seriously.

3. Posting Explicit or Inappropriate Content

Sharing adult content, violent imagery, or anything clearly unsuitable for a younger audience is grounds for a ban. Planet Minecraft has an audience that is skewed towards the younger side, 13+ and you are therefore expected to keep things age appropriate when interacting with our members.

4. Impersonation

Posing as someone else, whether it's another user, online personality, a moderator, or an official representative of the platform, is misleading and can lead to a ban. If it's clearly presented as satirical, then we may allow it. However, if the person being impersonated disapproves of the satire, we will shut the account down.

5. Scamming and Phishing

Attempting to deceive users for personal gain, whether it's for virtual items or real-world benefits, is a major offense and grounds for an account lock.

6. Distributing Malicious Software

Sharing links or files that contain viruses, malware, or any other harmful software is a ban-worthy offense on almost every platform.

7. Spamming

Constantly posting the same message, advertising, or flooding the platform with irrelevant content will lead to a ban. Bot accounts are locked.

8. Promoting Hate Speech or Discrimination

Content or remarks that are racist, sexist, homophobic, or discriminatory in any other manner are strictly prohibited.

9. Exploiting bugs or Cheating

Using bugs, glitches, or third-party software to gain an unfair advantage or disrupt the platform's normal functioning can result in a ban. Please report bugs via ticket.

10. Exploiting the Community for Profit

Joining the community solely to sell content without genuinely participating or contributing can be seen as taking advantage of the platform's users. Our Platform values genuine creators and contributors, and those who are only present to profit without giving back can harm the community's spirit and trust.

11. Sharing Personal Information

Distributing another individual's private information without consent, often referred to as "doxxing," is a severe violation. While it's your choice, we discourage sharing your own personal information online.

12. Posting Stolen Content

Uploading or distributing content that you did not create or do not have permission to share is a breach of community trust. Stealing work from other creators and presenting it as your own not only disrespects the original creator but also undermines the integrity of the community.

13. Excessive or Inappropriate Use of Profanity

While occasional mild profanity may be overlooked, using strong language, especially in titles or directed negatively towards others, is unacceptable. Excessive or aggressive use of profanity can create an unwelcoming and hostile atmosphere and may result in a ban. It's essential to maintain respectful communication within the community, ensuring a comfortable environment for all members.

Banned Accounts

Temporary bans of varying lengths depending on severity or repeated offense. Bans remove privileges to:
  • Post Content
  • Create Groups & Jams
  • Make Guest Book Posts

Locked accounts

Locked accounts are different than bans. A locked account will kick and prevent all access to the account. In addition, other members will be unable to view their profile.

Appeals

Banned and Locked accounts can be appealed by opening a ticket.

I find it kinda ironic how swearing is mentioned nowhere on here, but I've been moderated for it before.

If you don't like swearing, not my problem. Simply look at something else. I'm not trying to get banned and moderated everyday for profanity, may I add, this site isn't even made for kids, so I don't see an issue seen as older people tend to swear alot but nobody cares. I've seen before that people have been banned for being underaged, proving my last point about kids not being able to use the site, so honestly, I don't see an issue with swearing. Like I said, don't like swearing, don't bother me.

history
In a corporate work environment they will typically have policies to avoid using profanity at work. Not all companies do this of course, but some do. The company I work for does this for example and I'd hardly call them a family friendly or religious company.

Everyone who works at these companies are adults. Many are over the age of 50. You know, older people who tend to swear a lot.
And you know what I see? I see them toning it down. I've heard them using profanity when we are outside of work, but they understand context and the rules of the place you are interacting in. They also do this not because they are worried about children, or even religious reasons. They do it because they understand that just because you can use profanity, doesn't mean it is always required.

Now, if you disagreed with those company policies, what would you do? Would you stay, and fight it only to get fired? Or would you quit? Or would you follow their rules?

All of these outcomes apply to PMC. If don't follow the website policies, you'll get banned for it. If you disagree with the policies, then don't use the site (read our Terms of Use). Or, you just accept that these policies are the way they are even if you disagree with them.

If I'm being honest, I'd probably quit. Kinda stupid to say the least, swearing can express your emotions vividly. It can show happiness {E.G. "Holy shit! That was amazing!"} Or angriness. {E.G. "Fuck off!"} Those are only two examples, but I can reassure you that it isn't just used in inappropriate tones. It can also be used in a banter-y tone.

Point is, what's the problem with swearing?
