I'm so done with the hate towards "teen skins" so just because a skin is made to look like a teenager that's a bad thing? I know I'm like old as hell and still enjoying Minecraft but I'd say their core demographic is teenagers and a lot of people making said teen skins are SHOCKER teenagers. But regardless of how old the person making a "teen skin" IT DOESN'T ACTUALLY MATTER I've seen friends lose all motivation to make skins because of the EVIDENT dislike for the way they shade/ design their skins. So your skins have more shading than someone else's IT'S NOT A CONTEST.

I wish we could all get along like we used to in middle school. I wish I could bake a cake filled with rainbows and smiles and everyone would eat and be happy. but I can't so you've got to bake your own happy rainbow cake and maybe you should do that instead of bringing other people down.

And to the people who feel like their skins aren't as good as others because that's what you've been told... your skins are beautiful and you should be PROUD of yourself. I'd like ask people to refrain from using words with negative connotations to describe other's skins like "generic" "not original" "not creative" "lazy", because there are real people behind those skins. that's their art. by gatekeeping what skins are acceptable or mocking skins that don't fit your personal standards you're creating & contributing to a toxic culture. also can we not attack people for just wanting to stay in their comfort zone, there's nothing wrong with that. skinning is supposed to be enjoyable sure it's fun to challenge yourself but it's not mandatory or anything. I also feel like a lot of people who make teen skins feel pressured to MENTION the fact that they make teen skins as like a warning? unless you're creating something NFSW, you shouldn't feel obligated to give people a warning for your art. how many people have felt pressured to make non-teen skins because teen skins are considered unoriginal, lazy, or just generally bad??

I'm not saying you can't have opinions but maybe if your opinion is damaging to another person's mental health or a community's wellbeing then keep it to yourself and don't bring others down every opinion is valid until it brings harm to somebody else. the concept of what a teen-skin is, is so vague that it probably just shouldn't exist it honestly feels more like an umbrella term just to bring other people down. I don't even care whether or not you can tell me what makes a teen skin a teen skin, but don't go round shaming people for making said skins.

Please remember that words have impact. What you say can affect someone for the rest of their life. Words leave scars and bruises that people can carry for years.

Considering what's been said within the community from people such as @GoldenGlider & @Valkyrien_ (on mobile), people around us close by and far, all experience various things and go through, and even battle against intricate and complexing events and mental illnesses- this includes other disorders which can affect the emotions and mental process of someone during their day to day lives.
There are moments when on one day an individual facing these problems may be able to cope in a way where they feel at ease and have not a care, but then during that day or another time, something may trigger emotions and thoughts deeply where that individual is spun into a state of anxiety, depression, sense or worthlessness and even a longing for escape.
This is sadly one of the many effects of trauma, health complications and mental disorders/impairment.
I myself experience this and always have from certain events in my childhood- and these things can gravely affect a being so deeply it results in many highly stressful results. Same as those born with mental illness, or those who develop it through stages of life.
And ever so sadly these things are what cause people to feel so low for periods of time where things can become devastating to those suffering. So please all be aware that everyone experiences many things both catastrophic to their emotional, mental and physical well-being, and that we all most respect and aid eachother rationally. Not dismiss someone for something they willingly cannot control or reverse, but be by their side through understanding and selfless means to offer help, care, kindness and selflessness.
There is too much hatred and dismissal of what people are feeling, and by supporting one another will help stop that, and you vey well find that sometimes even listening out to someone venting their emotions, is what keeps them safe and gently aids in coping through life..
