if the vote decides on uhc again for evening prom, here's a quick little help guide for anyone who was confused on the one game we did (i want to give everyone a chance at winning if we do it again) plus a little private game settings change that i did
first, the changes:
grace period is now 5 minutes long, border shrinks faster, and the time until deathmatch has been reduced from like 50 minutes to 25
this is because last game took too long in my eyes

the modifiers have changed: we now have Sword Master (swords get more powerful the more kills you get with them), Fishing (1% chance to get extra ults from fishing), Extra Kit (gives everyone a random extra kit), and Magic Powers (positive potion effect on a kill)

now it's time of the little tip portion: (kind of opinionated)
get sugar cane. you can use paper to make sharpening books which makes apprentice sword useless, along with protection books (i don't recommend making those tho) making apprentice helmet useless as well-
don't spent the entire time killing animals, go mine- you have twice the normal health, if you fall in a ravine it won't kill you and you can always heal back up to full so go ahead and break the one rule of minecraft
lapis is very useful: you can make a 2 use fortune 2 pickaxe with 2 lapis blocks, 2 iron ore, and 1 gold ore, along with 2 sticks (a lot of 2s i know)
the best time to get apples is after you're done mining, shearing any tree can drop them
please remember that infinite crafts is on, it always will be if i'm hosting: so if you get bones make bone meal, you can dupe apples with it (it's a craft)
don't waste your gold on regular golden apples, you can make light apples which only cost 4 gold and are literally the exact same as normal apples
you can craft blaze rods with orange stained glass, a firework rocket (legit just 1 paper and 1 gunpowder rockets work), and 2 lava buckets: so there's no real need to go to the nether if you want to make dragon sword
i highly recommend making dragon sword. it might be my favorite craft next to dice of god
speaking of dice: if you find a spawner and have an extra diamond, take the moss stone (7 pieces) and make a jukebox, with 1 player head you can make dice of god which will give you a random extra ultimate

the best tip of all is to not make a plan, adapt to what the game throws at you. if you don't find cane, there's options other than apprentice gear. bloodlust is your best alternative.
and if you get screwed over by how buggy hypixel is: you can always do /rejoin or even disconnect from the server: it'll put you right back in the game where you left off (unless you got killed while disconnected or were disconnected for too long).
you also have a book that literally tells you the recipes. use it if you don't know what to go for. if you lost it, do /recipes. it does the same thing as right clicking the book.
