the chestplate has been printed......

can't properly test it yet cause it's slightly impossible to wear in this state, gonna need to temporarily glue some straps and buckles onto it first. and thats a task for another day

outer surface looks great though :D definitely the nicest model ive printed yet. i'll still have to sand it just because there's seams between the pieces that I'll need to cover up, but if those weren't there, I might've been able to skip the sanding entirely hehe

bad news!! i've accidentally blown up a hospital

turns out i severely underestimated how much material you can fit on a tiny roll of nylon. i got two straps, thinking they were only a foot long which would do the trick for the chestplate but not quite be enough for the leg armor.

yeah, no they’re a yard each. i have three times as much strap as i thought. that’s more than enough. theoretically, i can finish the leg armor now. and i’ll still have enough strap for the chestplate, when its ready for that step.

right, guess its time to figure out how im gonna attach the straps
