I have a thing to share coming up when my camera batteries aren't dead as I streamed the entire process to guineafish (with much laughter during the final few hours of the process). It's probably one of my favourite busts I've painted so far and I've painted a couple bangers that were given away as a gift.
If you know me and the country where I reside...let's just say the name of who I painted is along those lines.

Looking away from the bear cave at the apiary and beekeepers house, I'm quite fond of this shot. This area does hold some secrets (it's just access for redstone areas really), those of you that know your video game secrets well enough know where they'd be hidden here.
I think I've since done some more tweaking to this area, adjusting certain plants and adding more, though they wouldn't be noticeable in the screenshot anyway, maybe I was hiding lighting, I dunno.
I'm taking my time working on this world, just doing things slowly, there's areas I'm unsure how to make work with the landscaping but I'll figure it out as I go. More plants anyone?
Enjoy the shot, again at some stage guineafish will show off her area, she has nice screenshots available to use already (you're welcome), just lazy. :^) Hopefully next time I'll have something of more substance to show off, perhaps a horse stable? Maybe some ruins?
The view from the bear cave (might i add is a little spooky but is in a good spot) to the apiary is such a good angle of everything honestly, it's just a cute corner for cave so you get a shot of the pond, rock wall, waterfall then the glowing light of the apiary all warm and welcoming :>
(He has done tweaking yes, its usually just add a plant, move a single plant, and move forward two blocks to make a crack slightly less deep, its amusing to hear it all play out. Also yes he hid and moved some lighting)
Taking time is paying off fr, i encourage everyone to take some more time because it do be nice to slow down frfr
I will yes, yuki took good base pics of mine i am just incredibly lazy
Eventually I'll show off the Bear Cave I made, but today is not that day. I'm still trying to figure out the best way to show it off, it's kinda better without shaders and I don't really like that tbh.
Anyway, I built the garden and apiary next to what will be the beekeeper's house (can't finish it until I update for sulfur blocks) and I think it's turned out quite nice. Still a bit to go, texturing the walls of the garden still for example.
I've also swapped shaders from Complementary Unbound to Photon shaders.
Still from the same world as the previous post, I've worked on the area around the pathway leading to the cave/honey farm.
I keep going back and forth on the entire area tweaking things as I go, adding and removing plants if I feel it doesn't work for the view as you walk along the path being very intentional with the placement of every single piece of grass. Even all the sea grass in the pond has been placed by hand, every single piece of grass on this island will be hand placed.
I can confirm he's been doing a lot of tweaking, legit will ponder if he should move a block or two over or change it due to some nature thing or thought he had. The dude legit ties logic into things my brain wouldn't have considered. The work shows tho because the area is so pretty to vibe in honestly. Im scared (because it's going to be good) but hyped to see the island more filled out
I have been in the Minecraft swing again recently, gone back to playing on a world shared with guineafish (a giant nerd) where I've been completely terraforming an entire island by hand in survival. While there are some mods, nothing gameplay changing, I have not used axiom/litematica to create the terrain at all and will not be using it outside of some trees as I suck at building those.
This is an area I have been working on quite heavily as I needed an automatic bee farm which is hidden under the terrain with the storage accessed via the cave I am sitting on top of. I'm really happy with the area and it's become the chill spot to hang out at in the area I'm building. Fish also has a nice chill spot too, but that'd be up to her to share.
We also only just recently killed the ender dragon after over 1000 days.
Personally I think the shulker boxes were more important than the wings. That said, the wings have definitely been useful as well.
This also isn't an understatement, it took about a month and a half to flatten the entire island, maybe 2 weeks to get the land built back up and that's not even finished yet, probably only around halfway-ish?
The amount of work this fossil of a nerd has done is absolutely scary to witness, not even joking tbh
I can confirm yuki has made a lovely terrain, with a gorgeous pond and cave both genuinely insane works of minecraft building. I am very proud of him c:
Chat it was glorious, we took forever to get to the dragon because being lazy exists, but achieving wings was immediately relieving in travelling to and from his base

I have not forgotten about doing gear post stuff, just...it's a lot, and honestly I'm learning fascinating things still. Did you know that colours focus on different focus planes? I did not until recently when I bought a new lens. That's why you get colour fringing in photos, usually a purple or green fringe around the edges of details, that's what Chromatic Aberration is. It can be corrected in post but some lenses are designed specifically to eliminate that issue.
Anyway, that stuff aside, here's a macro photo of...I think a paper wasp, not 100% sure tbh, could google it but I'm lazy. Zoom in on it to see the detail. c:
Hello friends, I come to you today to ask a question, would y'all be interested in posts about the photography gear I use, why I use what I do and other stuff like that?
I could also add some more information about the various dogs I share photos of, but that'd break the joke as well. But hey, if y'all are interested in learning a lil bit more about Australian wildlife as well as animals from other countries that I photographed while at the zoo a couple months back I can add that info too. Would make me do more research on the things I shoot too. :^)
Of course, obligatory dog photo that I just finished editing after fighting with lightroom for the best part of an hour.
That one is a very technical answer, but I'll explain that as best as I can in a post about my main lens, may throw in some photographers that get the same/similar effect. Largely a combination of focal length + aperture for it though.
I'll probably touch a bit on editing at some stage too where I further the effect a little more.
Yes please! I’m always so curious on how focused you get your shots. Most of the time when taking photos, the background is still very definable, but yours are a very nice blur.
