ok since everyone's talking about self-diagnosis, I'm just gonna state some of my wonderful opinions.

1. Self-diagnosing, ah what a wonderful thing. I've seen many moments where people self-diagnose themselves with stuff like depression and anxiety, and then making it seem like it's something cool to have. For example, remember when Corinna Kopf made anxiety merch? Yeah, that's not really cool for those who actually have anxiety and are struggling. So, if you're self-diagnosing yourself, just shut up about it because it's doing nothing but making you look like a jerk.

2. There's two types of depression.

One that is a mood and one that is an illness that lasts.
It's like weather vs. climate. One is less severe and does not last long, while the other is more severe and lasts longer.

If you self-diagnose yourself with depression, you're most likely just doing so because you feel sad and helpless for a day or two.

Same thing goes for feeling anxious and having anxiety.

Anyways who the heck cares this is the Internet.

dont get me wrong: im glad we celebrate on the july 4th, but its sad to think about all the animals getting so scared and confused, because their ancestors grew up hearing gunshots from people, and fireworks can sound just like a loud gunshot, which is why they get so scared :(

edit: sorry ;-;
i understand that i clearly made a stupid mistake, and i was just trying to find a way to say that they get scared by the loud sounds fireworks made, but i didnt think of lightning off the top of my head

Humans have only been using guns and explosives for an incredibly short time on the evolutionary scale. Animals haven't had enough time to evolve to instinctively associate loud noises with gunfire. Animals aren't scared of fireworks because they sound like gunshots, they're scared because fireworks make a big loud sound.
