Looking back the skins I've made is a surreal experience, I still play Minecraft albeit I think I hate most modpacks due to my tastes in gaming changing over the years. Funnily enough I was reading "Blame!" and I was thinking "wow I wonder what this character would look like as a low poly model with all that techno stuff on her" now I'm rereading Blame! and thinking "wow I wonder what Killy or Cibo would look like as a Minecraft skin." There was one skin I was working on based off of Rabbit Void, a line of figures designed by some guy in Japan that designs these cool figures but I think I gave up half way.

Making skins is probably one of the most interesting facets Minecraft has to offer, I think this is probably what every AAA game desperately wants but can never obtain because of how limitless and free it is by nature. You're only limited by pixel count but you can be as simple or detailed as your heart desires. Microsoft can try hard to sell cosmetics and micro transactions, but I dont think anything can seal away the Pandora's Box that is the modding scene for this game.

I want to say thank you to anyone who is still downloading my skins, I don't care what you do with them, as long as it makes you happy, or better, it inspires you to make your own and hone a skill that will transfer over to other endeavors.

3 Days Mod


It's been a while since I made anything Minecraft related, but I want to talk about a mod idea I have....


  If you know anything about Majora's Mask, you have the 3 day time limit, 54 minutes in real time to complete a task you need to do,
  I thought why not put this into Minecraft? it would simply work like this; you have 3 days, 60 minutes in real time to kill the Ender Dragon;
  once the 3 Days are up, time will reset, the world will probably be renewed and every player's inventory wiped, progress will be made via a special
  chest or ender chest. Point of this mod is that it's a race against time to get the special chest so you can lock in your progression.


  I'd imagine a few difficulty options; Easy would allow you have the special chest from the start and carry it with you, Normal starts you without the chest
  and you must craft it, and Hard would just be like Normal mode but instead you cannot pick up the chest when placed.


   These are the basic outlines of the game mode to invoke a sense of urgency which is something I feel like is missing with open world games these
  days lacking any real goal in mind, this at least puts something to push the player to do something.

  I don't have any modding experience, however I have some experience with minecraft resources packs so my knowledge should transfer over, but it's been like forever
  not sure if anyone will see this but this is just an idea to write down...

Well that last post was a bit of a lie, I've been working on other projects unrelated to Minecraft over the 2 years but it's nice to look back and see all the skins and mods I've created; I do have a sort of weird Calamity weapons pack I made, basically porting the sprites I deemed the coolest into Minecraft with the Optifine mod but that's for a personal resource pack for me and my friends eyes only since it contains a lot of inside jokes and faces of my friends. Overall the pack was just a way for me to just simply screw around with the Minecraft engine and see what I can plaster into the game, I've even manged to port over and heavily edit a sprite's position from so it looks like the player is holding a shotgun from DOOM correctly.

Maybe get into 3D modeling with Blockbench since I've always wanted to get into 3D art no promises if I even decided to make anything, this is just a dumb way to get my thoughts out somewhere and to also say thank you to everyone who has passed by this account, I appreciate this community and the game that has rekindled my passion for art.

Yo I'm sort of back, just want to make this wall post to tell you guys I'm not dead or whatever, may need to do some warm ups and stuff before I can get back into this.

I'll be gone for about a few months, I'll probably be back with more skin ideas since I've been doing other art-related stuff, thank you for following my skinning journey.

This is a W.I.P, I was thinking about screwing around with the model JSON files to make the Katana a bit bigger but I feel I should just keep it stupid simple.

I just recently beat No More Heroes, I was thinking of making a simple Resource Pack that replaces all of the swords with the Beam Katanas.

So I found out how to make that skin that CallMeCarson was wearing for a short period of time, you know the one with the highly pixelated face slapped on in the middle of the skin, right?
