    This is probably the worst advice but:

    Art is objective. You can't really judge good or bad art. If you like it you do it C: Just try not to get disappointed if ppl don't give your art attention. Ik ppl say nice stuff about my art and stuff but at first it wasn't like that, and you have to realize that you draw for you, not other ppl's opinions. If they think it's bad, that's their problem. It's not like you made your pfp as their commission C:

    (And yes I used to get really bummed down and I still kinda do but it's sorts natursl, y'know?)

    ^^this may not be the same case for you, but i do hope it helps, even just a bit. :)

    p.s. a good thing to keep in mind is that the community is pretty supportive, for the most part, and is pretty encouraging when it comes to art.

    Genshin players:
    we got a survey option again!! This one is a lot about character design. I would appreciate it a lot (as I'm sure others would) if you could say something about how S3XUALIZING CHARACTERS (in Genshin's case, especially female characters) IS NOT OKAY. It's weird at best and s3xist at worst. (Also: a more racially diverse cast of characters!! please hoyoverse be better people thank you.)
    I really don't think that this aspect of the game is important to the original concept :I It's not a focus in the game, but it is in the character design, even if it's not that extreme. pls i wanna be able to play a game without it being sexist or racist or just discrimination stuff

    we have a chance to possibly help genshin be better, please take it ^^

    i know its probably just that they havent gotten around to making one yet and its most likely not made with evil intentions but its honestly so suspicious that there are zero male children not that i like want any its just why are they all female

    who are they appealing to

    and whats worse is i heard according to leaks that the dendro archon who is like six hundred years old is supposed to have a kid avatar for whatever reason like they have actually no lore or in game reason why shes supposed to be a six hundred year old kid

    i will care a lot less when they add a male child because then i know they arent making them for anyone in particular and i know men can be sexualized too but if all the staff are male then i dont think they would be making it for malicious intent

    that being said if they make a sexualized male child im going to complain

    i agree for the most part. I have a problem with - as far as i've seen from behind the scenes stuff - a bunch of male developers designing many outfits for many female characters that- for an example- are much more revealing than male characters. there's only like 7 female characters who wear pants instead of skirts or shorts (another example). If hoyoverse had many more female designers than it currently does, I'd be a lot more okay with it

    and yes the fanbase is definitely worse than the developers when it comes to this

    i think its cool when its like a part of the characters story like rosaria being a sister of the church that like breaks the rules and is all like i can do what i want with my body but when its like yanfei where she straight up be freezing to death under a blanket with how little clothes shes wearing with no lore reason or even reason at all its a little sus

    especially when a lot of the time they are kids

    the two worst animations in the game are keqing flashing her rump when she attacks and qiqi having the wind blow her dress thing in her idle animation when both of those characters are under eighteen and qiqi is like four

    in some cases it makes me never want to play the character or talk about them or interact what so ever and tell hoyoverse to tend to the daily household activities so i can takeover the game and change them but in other cases its like impowering and stuff

    representation is important. i understand your views, though.
    i just find it unnecessary and really weird that hoyoverse chooses to s3xualize its characters. it's an exploration rpg :I
    it's also rated teen (13+) and i really don't think it's a good idea because younger audiences especially are influenceable and i don't want them to think that that kind of thing is the only way to look 'pretty' or something. i do have issues with their choices in character design, and although it's not as bad as a lot of games, they could do a better job of just not doing that. there's multiple studies i found that seem to say (I didn't read through it all but) that s3xualized female characters can increase s3xism or make people feel less confident about their bodies. i respect your opinion even though i think it is an issue :)

    Collecting names has actually been a hobby of mine for a good many years, but if I ever feel stumped for a name for a character, anonpmc4145658's suggestion has come in handy, heh! x Most of the time, I try to choose names that either simply feel right for the character or suit their personality or backstory in some way. ♥

    YES. also the same with OCD and other mental illnesses/disorders. They're NOT funny. They should NOT be a trend. It is completely insensitive when people act like they have a mental illness. For example, please don't say "Oh that's triggering my OCD" if you DON'T have ocd, ESPECIALLY when you aren't educated on it. OCD is not the same as perfectionism and it's offensive to people who actually struggle with OCD when people who don't have it make jokes about it or act like it's something else.

    Su!c!d3 and d3pr3ss!on jokes are not funny. They’re not cool. There are actually people in this world who have d3pr3ss!on and there are people in this world that are su!c!da1. Making jokes about that stuff is not good at all. So many people die from taking their own life. So making it seem like something to joke about is absolutely disgusting. Every freaking day at school i hear so many people making jokes about it, it’s horrific. So If you or anyone you know make these jokes please stop it’s really not funny. Another thing that is disgusting is apparently now thanks to Tik Tok along with plenty of other platforms, being d3pr3ss3d is now a trend. Dude its not cool. It’s not “trendy”. It’s freaking sad that people flex around having d3pr3ss!on like its gonna make them more popular or whatever the h3ll. If you have a mental illness your most likely not gonna go around telling people “oh I have *insert mental illness*.” and constantly talking about it all the time. I understand that there are some people who actually do have mental illnesses and do tell people, but they don’t talk about it every 2 seconds. So basically please don’t fake mental illnesses/disorders for attention it’s pretty sh!ty that people do.
