    There's a question we've all been asking.

    What place does AI art really have?

    AI art is a computer generated image in an artstyle. The computer is feed art to learn from and produce images basedon what it is fed. These images were a human's art. Sometimes they were used with permission, and sometimes not. That does present a huge problem when generated artwork is sold or distributed because it is essentially taking an artstyle, or look, that a human has worked very hard for, and generating images without input from the artist to create that image.

    That's art theft.

    AI art is actually pretty cool, don't get me wrong. It has the ability to do great things and will do greater things, but it could never replace the fundamental reason why people make art--the innate need to create. Creativity. A computer cannot generate an image different from the ones it has been fed. We can. Using our heads and the beautiful (and sticky) process of creating art, we make something new and contribute to our own growth and art journeys.

    You grow more by learning to draw something, making mistakes, and picking yourself up again, than you ever would by typing a prompt into a computer.

    It's your choice.

    Sadly, there’s probably no way to opt out. There’s a lot of us who care about stopping art theft in AI. Don’t support this thing, don’t use it, and use your platforms to encourage others to not use it either.

    sorry for the spam but for some reason this needs to be said:

    trans people can be tomboys (mtf) and femboys (ftm) that dosnt invalidate them as trans people

    I know some trans femboys who get called "trans wannabes" and shit like that and thats not how it works identifying as male is not identifying with the "male clothing" clothing doesn't even have a gender its literally just a piece of cloth cut a certain way. Being trans is being uncomfortable with the body you were given with and/or how your gender is perceived to society and then some go through surgery to help their mental health.

    This being said since someone has asked ME the dumbass question of "how do yk if your not a tomboy or smth like that" once agian, not how it works and how someone dresses is none of your damn business anyways.

    In other words : The way someone dresses does not define their gender and their gender does not define the way they dress. Please get educated on how this stuff works before pointing fingers

    a few simple overall art crediting rules for anyone who is confused c:
      - "Credit to the original," "credit to the artist," etc. doesn't count as credit if you don't say who the artist is or link the original.
      - "Do not repost" means "do not repost". no exceptions. Just because you found it on google or pinterest doesn't mean it's yours. If there's no rule saying that you can't repost it, you still have to credit ;w;
      - If you don't know who to credit, don't post until you do!
      - Don't cover up/cut off watermarks if you're reposting art. it's not ok :c i've had this happen to me before (as in someone colored over my watermarks and reposted my art). not fun :c also, in addition to the watermark, you still have to credit!

    I know a lot of images on pinterest/google don't have credit. If this is the case, I recommend doing a reverse image search to see if you can find the original post of the image. This can be really helpful and avoid you getting in trouble or hate for something you didn't mean to do. ^u^ Crediting in general does this.



    It might seem like a lot, but it's actually quite simple once you get used to it, and i know it makes a lot of artists, myself included, feel better about posting art online. thank you for reading!

    i just accidentally found posts of an AI model based on Mika Pikazo's work.
    makes me feel sick honestly. it's disgusting how they think it's totally fine to use artists' work to create other works that replicate the style in the craft they've dedicated their lives to (or even just passionate about).

    Also, I'm pretty sure Mika Pikazo is an illustrator and art director as a JOB- meaning people are probably going to be profiting off of her work from the AI generators that have USED her work to be created. There's so, so many cases of this, too. it's not just her.

    I can't stop people from creating AI art. but please- don't support these AI models. Don't use them. Don't share them with other people without educating them on the issue. AI art generators, AI text generators, all of that stuff. Plagiarism. Theft. It's not ok and it IS harmful.

    the plot's important too, but if you have a really good plot but no interesting characters (or, hell, even annoying ones) it's not gonna work
