don't know much about body horror theming, but for the 80s arcade and steampunk perhaps you could maybe use a steampunky trench coat paired with those stereotypical steampunk goggles but the lenses are like maybe a bright pink/purple with neon lighting?? along with maybe one of the character's arm being a side panel of let's say a pac-man cabinet?
