• do not look directly at it, make sure you have sunglasses on
• do not take pictures directly at it, it can damage cameras
• if it’s cold, make sure you have warm clothes on if you’re gonna be outside for a while
• enjoy it!! it’s a rare occasion

fun fact: you can view the shadow on a live sat map or view the live NASA stream if you aren’t in the USA but still wanna see it.

book review time

I’m reading a really good fantasy book trilogy at the moment, called The Good Hawk (the trilogy is called Shadow Skye). I don’t usually post stuff like this, but it’s a really good YA book.

Not only is it really fun and engaging, it includes important topics such as:

• LGBTQ+ relationships,
• neurodiversity (one of the main characters has Down’s syndrome),
• the dangers of religion,
• dangers of colonisation and empire,
• and much more.

the other day I was feeding the very friendly squirrels who like to jump on you to get the nuts out of your hand

but this one squirrel took it too far and climbed onto my arm to get the nuts out of the bag I was holding and I tried to turn my arm to politely remove it from my arm and it just stayed upside down on my arm, unbothered by the shaking

so if anyone asks about the scratches on my hand that is why
