How do you find color inspiration for Minecraft skins? 🎨

When designing a Minecraft skin, where do you usually get your color inspiration?

Sometimes a small change in the palette can completely change the personality of a skin.

I'm curious how other skin creators approach it:

•
Do you start with the character concept?

•
Use colors from real animals or clothing?

•
Build a custom palette from scratch?

•
Take inspiration from existing Minecraft textures?

•
  Experiment with different combinations?

I've been using this Minecraft color-code reference while experimenting with palettes:

How do you choose colors for a Minecraft skin? 🎨

When you're creating a Minecraft skin, how do you choose the colors?

I’ve noticed that a good color palette can make a huge difference, especially when trying to make a skin look unique without using too many colors.

I'm curious how other skin creators work:

•
Do you start with a specific palette?

•
  Take colors from real images?

•
  Experiment until something looks right?

•
  Use Minecraft color references?

🍂 Our Fall Festival is almost here!

Join the community in celebrating the season with contests, games, and fun activities hosted by fellow members. Whether you’re building, crafting, or just enjoying the vibes, there’s something for everyone.

I found a good nighttime pallete:

CC8b86 an almost mauve pink

f9eae1 an almost white pink

7d4f50 a purplish pink

D1be9c a light purple/pink/mauve

aa998f a VERY light purple.

These are mostly pink/purples, so would be good in a nighttime or dreamy fantasy, maybe.

Here, I am trying to reshow the image, I think that a link to it might work, cause it doesn't show a copy url.
I will try it out here.

This might be a cute palette:
It might be a good beach/water-themed one.

Hello lovelies!
( Wow it's been... 9 months? (ó_ò") Did we have a baby? )

🌈 June is the time where we, as a community, shine radiant and bright — it's Pride Month!

While due to the group's general inactivity, we haven't had the chance to plan anything for Pride Month, we would love and appreciate you all if you decided to give a chance to some other pride related events hosted by other communities! ✨
▻ Pirates Pride! (2025) by The Legendary Bilge Rat's Tavern
  ▻ LGBTQIA+ Jam by Symphplays
( if you are also hosting an event for pride month, let us know! )

But after all, if these fabulous events don't pique interest, we always encourage you to spread love and awareness with whatever you feel comfortable with! :-)

And of course, don't forget to stay safe and stay true to yourself! ❤️ Have a wonderful June!
