    i never actually got around to posting here, but i remember i liked the sense of community and worldbuilding i got from this group. i liked to imagine we were all smiths living near each other making items that we could possibly derive some lore from


    for ideas: a contest where collaboration is key? collaborate on the same piece, or different matching pieces? could be same-smiths on the same piece or different smiths on matching pieces that fit their particular niche

    contest where you have to make an item that is inspired by a fictional creature. you make the item and make up the creature :D it would be really cool to see what people come up with.
    OR it could be collaborative, where one person makes the creature and another the item. if people want a chance to do both, we could each be paired with two people (one where you make the creature and they the item, the other vice versa)

    contest where we design drinks/food items for the lazy tavern..

    by item i mean yknow, drawing, model, etc. and none of these necessarily have to be contests they could just be events too

    soo.. there's been some drama with toby fox lately, and as a latina i feel i should say something, especially here in pmc where hispanic voices aren't.. exactly prevalent

    im not going to argue in favor or agaisnt the translation of ut/dt to spanish as i feel that's irrelevant to what i'm trying to say and would just muddy my words

    but it's been.. pretty disgusting overall to see the treatment hispanic people have been receiving, where like, people (especially english speakers) are getting the wrong idea of what were asking for.. and/or just flatout being.. lowkey kinda xenophobic about it

    now, for context, i myself dont believe toby is xenophobic or racist or whatever, i just think it kinda sucks the hispanic side of the internet is kinda ignored everywhere

    but fr it feels like, idk, just wrong.. like it's a bunch of fetishists who latched on to brazilian miku and the shadow "i love latinas" meme but then dont care at all about the people themselves at all and just treat them as entitled for wanting something as simple (speaking in hyperbole, i know the nuances) as a translation or any manner of attention to the hispanic fandom

    it just sucks so bad...

    Yeah, you know despite the obvious issue, the Toby Fox thing feels kinda like a huge nothingburger, a reason to start drama over a small thing without acknowledging the greater issue at hand. Not to mention that the music tour destinations are not decided by Toby Fox, but the organisers. So-
    Yeah. It's weird. What's also weird is to hear about that issue, because I, for whatever reason, have always landed on that side of the internet one way or another and thought it's just normal like that. That it's accepted and that it's everywhere but I suppose I was wrong. That's depressing...
