    today's skin remakes are....... plague knight and specter knight from shovel knight!! i liked both of these fairly-well when i made them but was really frustrated by the shape of the plague mask on plague knight (and im still not entirely happy w it but i think it's a step in the right direction!!)

    with these remakes i was really trying to bring them closer in-line with the reference material (colors + design) while also making the shading more interesting to look at :]

    my fave part of remaking old skins is trying 2 squeeze more personality/detail into the face... i feel like it's the part of the skin u can express urself thru the most and the combination of all the traits and how theyre put together can really make a skin feel unique to that artist (eyes high or low? eyebrow/lash shape? eye size? 2x2? 1x1? bigger?)

    i redid my micolash recently and im rlly happy with how it turned out cause i got a little more experimental with the face and i think it looks way more like him than it did b4!!!

    Small status update: I may not be very active here right now, but I have been posting on my DeviantArt page fairly frequently, and expect to keep doing so for a while (at least as long as I have good art photos sitting on my phone that I never bothered posting over the last several years...).     I’ve got a lot of skin ideas and WIP skins I hope to get back to over winter break, including some more characters from Seekers of the Unwritten. Looking forward to having some more free time again!
