So I learned VBA to automate some Excel files for one of my datapacks. It looks a lot nicer now and has no errors caused by me messing up when I added them all manually from before, which is nice. (we don't talk about the Black Sheep Head, lads)
Also, I can reliably add the 3072 Tropical Fish Heads I'd promised I'd add in a future update in the Excel file automatically now, and be confident that there would be no inconsistencies in the head icons.
This is just me trying to make sure I get the best stuff out there once it's finally out. If you like what I've made, I could really use the support if you can on Patreon. Thanks!

Useless trivia time: As of 1.20.4, including the experimental blocks:
There are 372 blocks in game that doesn't have any blockstates.

Native English speaker is far from 100% effective in ensuring proper usage of these.

This pallette vs pallet vs palate might help…
Alternatly a mnemonic [memory aid]:
► pallETTE is a French spelling thus relates to art 🙄
► paLLet has two "L's" (like the tines of a forklift)

I determined why it happened and patched yesterday. A moderator added a variation of a pateron.com url to our monetized filter list. This runs code that retroactively applies the new entry to past submissions. That retroactive script wasn't honoring the exceptions. I fixed and so it shouldn't happen again.

I was surprised by this: Appearantly Mojang pulled the plug on Dungeons just 3 years after its release. Yeah, they actually did that. Read the source - it's at the end of this official post.

Wait, I've been making content for 3 years already?

Update: The landmine change I'd mentioned a few updates ago has a bug report, which is now marked as Working as Intended. It's not all bad though - they've also marked a related bug as Important (which means there'll be an official alternative to the change once that bug is fixed).
The fix will most likely come when Minecraft 1.21 comes out, so I'll revert the temporary changes I've made to Villager Names in Version 21-1 whenever Minecraft 1.21 comes out - which might be quite a ways into the future, but that's just how long Mojang updates takes I guess.
PS: making quality stuff takes time. There's so much consideration that goes into new Vanilla updates so it'd fit a much wider target audience, so I'm not complaining on the update times.
I'm just glad they've noticed the problem and are fixing it as soon as they can.

Give me a guess as to how many blockstates in total Minecraft has.
I'll give you a hint. The game currently (excluding upcoming blocks) has 1003 blocks.
I'll let you know what I got once I've finished building my massive library of all the blockstates of every single block the game has to offer, updated each version. I need something like this to help me enhance projects that has tons of cases to design answers to, like BlockSeat's "sit on any block" mechanic, or Minespenser's "mine every mineable block" thing, and will help me a lot with making new projects with a similar criteria (I got a lot of those in my list).

PS: If you want me to keep making insane-level stuff like this, I could really use the help!

I've found even more landmine text changes Mojang's made in 1.20.3 today.
Fishing Extended was recently updated again to patch one of these issues. More news soon!

PS: we're technically in 1.20.4, but 99.9% of all the changes came from 1.20.3, so I'll just refrence that as when these changes occured instead.

Bad news for Villager Names: It seems like I'll have to redesign the project entirely just to port it properly to 1.20.3 and 1.20.4. The main reason why I had to do this is because Mojang have actually removed a vital technique that made some of the mechanics available in previous versions possible in the first place. And they did it as a landmine change.

In other news: CropBooster has been updated to support Minecraft 1.20.3 and 1.20.4!
I've also taken the extra time to finish culling out extra files left over from when I did the last optimization wave way before that I forgot to remove. Anyways, have fun boosting your farms, and I'll see you soon with new project updates!
