Hey PMC, just started to learn how to code, haven't been on PMC for a while. But..

HERES MY FIRST MOD:O
Backup your .minecraft folder easy with the Minecraft_Backup_Kit every time you use Minecraft!


Instructions:
Download the file from MediaFire, then unzip it.
It should now be a folder. Run 'Setup.bat' and answer the questions.
Copy and paste your .minecraft to the Backups folder.
Read README.txt
Run minecraftbackup.bat
Whala! Your done!

We can just copy the .minecraft folder then paste it somewhere.....

You could, but if you did theat ever time you ran minecraft it would be a pain because copying and pasting about 3,500 items takes a while. This takes about 5 seconds

Can't we just backup our MC by copying the .jar then replacing it?

Well not really, because you would lose all your worlds, data, screenshots, mods, etc.

Only mods, the .jar, not the whole folder.

well either way you would lose all your data because of your saves folder

? The saves don't delete themselves when you delete the .jar.You'll still have them.

if something happens to your .minecraft, even though youll have your .jar, your worlds, screenshots, tex. packs, stats, everything will be gone
