S.S. Pearlescent's History [Fictional Alternative History]
The year was 1918, and technology was progressing faster than ever with the Great War. English engineers were designing a new type of flight machine to be launched along with the Royal Air Force. On November 3rd, 1918, after a year of heavy work, a refitted Ocean Liner named S.S. Pearlescent was launched with such force it made it to Earth’s orbit. Shocking the rest of the world began a space race between the nations, leading to an extended war and a third industrial revolution.
Specs and Descriptions of Engine and Weaponry
The steam engine moves the ship forward by instead diverting the steam into space to propel it forwards, using this method it also uses steam to turn. The steam engine is a 2-boiler engine delivering approx. 3000 horsepower.
To have entered orbit, the ship has the whole back of the bottom deck dedicated to liquid fuel storage to burn in its liftoff to orbit.
The ship has 3 main miniguns on the front of the ship and 10 smaller guns mounted on the Boat Deck. Ammunition is stored in the ship's lower decks and fed into the miniguns.
Use Version 1.21 for the world to function correctly
Ship looks better without shaders in my opinion, I am using the "Astrocraft" mod to enhance the apperance of the stars.
