This is a 1:1 scale 3D model conversion of Deep Space Nine. The original model was mad by Google Sketchup user pherim and can be found here. This model is entirely made out of stone and has no interior. Also because of the height limit a few bits of the station are put off to the side. I might add textures and windows to this model in the future, but I have a few other projects I would like to finish first, so don't hold your breath.

I have another version of this map that was made with an old height mod. That version can be downloaded here, but good look loading it.

The schematic download is for a 1/2 scale version.

Update #1 : by Momentaneously 03/12/2012 9:47:26 pmMarch 13, 2012 @ 1:47 am UTC

I moved this project to the new Anvil map format. It still needs to be about three times higher to fit the station, but at least now you can fly around the map.

More like this

  Have something to say?

How did YOU converte a 3D to a minecraft map?
I would like to know how you did it, seems to be very intresting for me.
Anyway, awesome map!

If I were to build it again I would probably use Binvox. It would have to done in pieces since Binvox doesn't support models over 1024 blocks per side. When I made this I used Google SketchUp by making section cuts of each layer and then converting them to blocks with a custom program. It was a very time consuming process.

I personally think it's too large, see te ramped bit (+/- 35o) the windows stretch about 3/4 of that height, and in the series thes seem about 4 meters, and here that part is almost 50m!

I simply scaled the 3D model to be as close to the dimensions listed on Memory Alpha. It isn't too uncommon to see discontinuity between exterior and interior shots in Sci-Fi TV and movies.

yhea, i´d only like to see a ds9 that´s not too large for iterior. it would be cool to walk around in it.
