This is the first project of this serie called : 5 Structures / 5 Stories. Basically what I do is taking a single theme (In this case an Alchemist Shop) and present to you 5 different models of that single theme. Even more, Each structure will come with its own explanation (Why choose one material over another, why is the structure built that way etc.).

So for this first project, as mentionned before, I present you with 5 Alchemist Shop. These Alchemist Shop can also double for anything similar such as Herbalist Shop ... And as a thank you gift for downloading and supporting this huge project, I did throw an extra Alchemist Shop that is not "Really Standard" to put this up kindly!

ALCHEMIST SHOP

1. The Basement Alchemist Shop: This Cobblestone, Oak and Jungle Wood house is fairly modest. Its owner lives on the second floor and has its shop on the first floor. The fact that the first floor is made of Cobblestone is not random. It serves as a protection against experience mishaps and fire. Inside, 3 chests on the customer's side serves as display cases. Signs over the counter, which is also made from Cobblestone are WANTED signs. Basically this alchemist might be inclined to lower his prices in exchange of some of the components displayed there. The work are of the shop is fairly cramped but has all the necessary equipment to prepare and brew potions. When asked about the skull on the counter, the shop's ower generally smiles and tell that this skull belongs to an unsatisfied customer ...

The living area of this shop (2nd Floor) is well lit thanks to the two huge bay windows on both ends of the house. The main living area is more of a study than anything else. It has a desk with a huge bookcase and the basics to cook and store food and equipment. The alchemist who runs this shop has no time to sit and eat. Instead, he sits and eat WHILE studying the principles of Alchemy. The room is minimalist with a big bed and 2 chests.

2. The Potion Factory: This structure is made from Cobblestone, Oak and Jungle Wood. The first striking feature of this shop is the 2 huge barrel-like structures beside the actual shop. These are in fact water reservoirs to brew potions on a large scale. Customers gets to order through a counter outside the actual building. Inside two fully equipped workstations allow multiple alchemists to work. Each workstation is equipped with a cauldron (To get water from the reservoir), chest, brewing stand and a bench. A furnace at the very bottom of the shop serves as both a heat source for cold days and as a stove.

3. The Twin's Tower: This structure is made from Stone Brick and Oak. It is own by twins who decided to have a business together. The first 2 floors are dedicated to the business itself. A very small counter with two workstations cramped into a very small space. Iron bars are used instead of windows because of the cramped space. If a volatile component was to be released in this confined space, only a small amount would be needed to become as dangerous as a bomb ... 2nd floor is used only for storing the shops components and stock of potions. Having the stock and components on the 2nd floor is also a security for the twins. 3rd floor is their living quarters: A bed, a chest and a desk with a small bookcase each is enough to keep these two happy. 4th floor is their personnal storage area with a workbench to prepare food. The roof is used by one of the twin to grow plants that are being used in the potions.

4. Ye Olde Potion Shop: This structure is made from Oak, Cobblestone and Spruce. It features a two stories house with an adjacent, well ventilated shop. The shop itself is fairly basic but has all the features necessary to do business. The lobby of the house serves as a storage area for the shop since it has none. On the first floor there is also a small room with only a big bed in it. a ladder IN the room leads to the second floor which lets us think that the owner of the house must not be the one to receive many guests. The second floor is a large study with a large desk and bookcase. The other main feature of this room is the huge couch with a low table and carpeting. Visibly for social meetings but since it is assumed this alchemist does not receive guest ... what is it for?

5. The Derelict Potion Shop: This structure is made from Cobblestone, Oak, Spruce and Brick. The first thing we see with this structure is that the lawn is unkept and moss starts to grow from the Cobblestone. Inside, we get a basic potion shop with counter and equipment. The work area has an exit which leads to the garden where wheat and carrots grows. Maybe this shop owner is a Nightvision Potion Specialist of some sort. The living area features a table with two chairs, a workbench and a single bed with bookcase. There is also three big chests in this area which serves as both personal and professional storage.

EXTRA: The POTION Shop: This one is a blank canvas so beyond the basic structure, there is nothing inside of it ... Yet ... It is in the form of a giant potion bottle and I hope you like it!
