this is my first ram, it contains 64 bytes ( 512 bit ) of memory, so 512 D-Flip-Flops in total
it comes with an 6 bit decoder for the adress and a control board for testing purposes.

NOTE: since it uses repeater-locking, it will only work with versions greater than 1.4

feel free to use it for your own projects, but please mention me :D

how to use it:
READING: -select the address to read, then flip the "read" lever (you can leave it on all the time, even when writing)
WRITING: enter the value you want to save and turn on the "write" lever for just a short time(you can leave it on as well)
Progress100% complete

I cannot wait until someone figures out 1-16GB of RAM.

every single bit in any RAM built in minecraft takes up at least 120 bytes on your real harddrive, so for 1 GB, that would be 960 (!!!) GIGABYTES of space on your harddrive, no single computer could handle that

Pssh, I've already got 1TB on my laptop, and I have an extra 1TB external hard drive.

i don't think you got my point, NO computer could handle it, even if you've got 10000000000000000000000TB harddrive space, minecraft needs to load the entire world into your RAM, which is hardly bigger than 8, maybe 16 Gigs, also it would be very resource intensive to update all the wires

First you said you could do it with 960GB on your hard drive, now you're saying you can't even do it with 10000000000000000000000TB on it. You should think of what you're saying first.
I know you need the RAM to update all of the wires, I was just going with your mistake.

nah he is right.
the disk space is the one thing, RAM (the actual hardware in your pc) is the other.
So even if you can save it on your harddrive, you couldn't open the world in minecraft.

and by the way, more bits (or GBs) is just a stacking thing so it's just the same if you got an 8 bit ram device or a 13242534535 billion one.

well you still would need to do the decoder (for addressing the bytes) which would be a lot bigger than the actual RAM itself, plus you would get really mad because making a decoder is just stupid work. :P

Nobody is going to build anywhere near a gig of RAM. It's not practical, and wouldn't really be useful for anything. Hell, I can't even think of what I would do with 64 registers, let alone over a million. Besides, the address decoder for such an array would be a nightmare, so would the registers themselves.

Yes, there is no actual reason to do it, but maybe somebody would want to. You never know.
