Awlheos: Deep Space Creatures

Awlheos are ancient, mystical space creatures. They live across distant star systems, traveling through enormously vast distances between the galaxies of the universe. They collect and consume light from the nearby stars, each star emitting different colors which makes their alien skin shine with various beautiful colors. They are the only living creatures known in universe that are brave enough to dive into the cold and dark nothingness of deep space, far beyond the curtains of stars and galaxies, looking for other awlheos to meet up and travel together beyond the horizon of the universe. They extinguish their lights to hibernate during the long lasting travels to keep their energy. Human colonists like to call them space whales!
