It's been awhile since I've made a custom terrain map featuring someone's tree pack. As usual I opted for an island to make it more survival map "exploration transition" friendly. I don't particularly care for how custom terrain just cuts off and then Minecraft takes over as you go along in survival mode. With the right seed, an island offers a smoother visual as you move out of the custom and into the vanilla.

This island features the tress from Springstof's Custom Trees. While the pack may be small, it does offer a nice mix of your staple trees such as oak and birch along with some exotic trees like palm, melon, and giant oaks. The only thing I felt the pack was missing was some giant brown mushrooms to pair off with the giant red mushrooms in it.

My NPC village includes one villager of each career type and a house for each of them. The trees in the NPC village were hand pasted using the third party program MCEdit. I also took artistic liberty on the palm trees to edit the pumpkins into jack-o-lanterns to offer lighting instead of building street lights.

The in-game screenshots I took for this project I think was the most tedious process of the entire thing. Some reason my brain insisted that I set the render distance to 32 and my computer HATED me with extreme intensity for it. Can't imagine why. The poor thing is out of date and begging to die I guess. For the in-game screenshots, I used ChromaHills for the resource pack and SEUS Shader Ultra Pack. OptiFine did nothing to stop my computer's unkind streaming of hateful words to me. Yes, the stupid thing talks to me all the time - and most of the time in gibberish.
