Gona B40/sa Assault Walker

A direct successor to the Gona B40/n produced by Cyxtess Technologies in the mid 48,800s, the Gona B40/sa took its predecessor's design and added considerably more armor and firepower at the expense of mobility. The B40/sa was intended to provide heavier infantry support and anti-armor capabilities, for more demanding combat situations. Armed with a heavy rapid-fire laser cannon, a dual missile launcher with a large internal magazine, and a chemical weapon system for flushing out fortified positions, the B40/sa is extremely versatile against a variety of threat types, including insurgents and organized military forces. Although slower than the B40/n, the B40/sa is still able to move reasonably quickly on smooth terrain, and its two legs can balance its heavy upper body while traversing rough terrain.
