This building belongs to our new project, the empire Castaire.
When Lucrécy was founded, the mayors lived in the townhall for around 10 centuries. With the rising wealth of the empire, the mayors came up with the plans to build a new representative building to show off their importance for the administration of the city. Several architects were ordered to hand in their plans and ideas, from which the parliament chose the best. The construction started in 1645 AC and was finished 5 years later, so the first mayor to live in the new mansion was Jeromé du Chambre with his family. The current resident is mayor John Janotha with his wife Genevieve and his daughter Mara. Opposite to the most common circumstances where every mayor lives in his private house, the mayors mansion is to be understood as an official residence. This means, when a mayor is not elected for another period of office he hast o leave the mansion and to make way for his successor.
Constructed in the middle of the 17th century, the mayors mansion is built in the style of Spococo. It is highlighted by 7 towers engrowing the area of the different floors. The main material is a combination of brick and quartz as well as several stone decoration ornaments. The mayors mansion accommodates 20 rooms. The family of the mayor lives in the third floor, while the second floor is filled with the living room and a private library. The ground floor and the first floor are occupied by several official rooms for example the office of the mayor and a meeting room.
