Gladius-Class Medium Cruiser

This is one of the latest in my series of airship builds - the ship that was built to fill the role of the Hood Mk 7a "Gladius". It features new cannon and armor designs, and has a far better lift rating than any ship I've built to date, except for maybe Hood variants 7b and 8a.

This ship features a boarding ramp, something I never had on the Hood, and probably never will have. The secondary bridge does not have a proper FCS for the turrets, which is part of the massively reduced redundancy on this ship. While the Hood was designed to keep fighting after being hit many, many times, this ship was designed to end fights quickly.

Credit goes in part to Mega_Mystic for 'complaining' (he was rather insulting about it) about the apparent lack of aesthetics on my Hood line. This ship was built for BaccaYarro's Airship Pirates servers.
