This ship was inspired directly by BaccaYarro's (loraxe42) Light Cruiser airship used in the Airship Pirates youtube series by the Silver Empire. I designed the original version over a year ago, and have since modified it *many* times, pumping out over 20 different variants, most of which include major updates from previous designs. The file name for this one is Fiend_Hood6d, meaning it is the fourth variant of the 6th line of ship designs in my Hood series (yes, the ship name came from the HMS Hood, only my ship can take more of a hit relative to the real thing). The ship features 3 DSTs (the turrets found on baccayarro's Destroyer Mk 3), 4 forward-firing torpedoes in 2 tubes, 2 aft-firing torpedoes in 2 tubes, 2 anti-surface/submarine missiles in the bottom of the ship (they can fire forwards or aft), firegun (AA, basically kills anything with exposed wool) coverage at every angle (full rapidfire AA belt along the sides, rapdifire AA in the aft bridge, manual AA in the fore bridge, downwards-firing AA both fore and aft linked to their respective forward/aft-firing AA, and upwards-firing AA on both ends, manually fired from their respective bridges). While the ship has relatively low lift due to its immense amount of firepower and redundancy (all turrets can be manually fired from inside the ship, and both bridges have full control over the turrets' rotation, along with fire control systems), the ship can take one heck of a hit, and still keep fighting. Heavy hits to the flanks tend to sink the Hood most easily, so it is often best to keep either the fore or aft bridge pointing directly at the enemy ship. This ship has been known to be able to keep fighting (and win) with all weapons systems except for a single torpedo launcher having been destroyed, and with the ship having taken so much damage that it starts looking a bit like a pancake.

Most of my knowledge of building airships (with redstone systems) comes from working on this airship here. It is the only design that has stuck with me since I joined baccayarro's build server. Of all of the designs I've made, this one is probably my favorite, and will continue to be for years to come.

For those who are wondering how many variants of this ship I have made, here is a list of designs that I can remember:
Hood Mk 1 - original, carried modified WSTs (World's Smallest Turret, found on baccayarro's Corvette Mk 3)
Hood Mk 3a - Fins added, living quarters updated, FCS added in aft bridge
Hood Mk 3b - interior rebuilt
Hood Mk 3c - interior rebuilt
Hood Mk 4a - Torpedo bay updated
Hood Mk 4b - Permanent color design change, additional armor added, new fin design implemented, living quarters removed
Hood Mk 4c - 'Permanent' color design temporarily changed, first variant with ASMs (anti-surface/submarine missiles)
Hood Mk 5a - First variant with DSTs, additional armor added, torpedo and ASM bays armored
Hood Mk 5b - First hyrbid warship/carrier variant (2 guns, aft flight deck)
Hood Mk 5c - First full carrier variant (flight deck only, no room for a hangar bay)
Hood Mk 6a - Updated bridge designs, aft torpedoes added
Hood Mk 6b - Minor design changes
Hood Mk 6c - AA system updated/bridge design updated
Hood Mk 6d - Upwards-firing AA installed, minor design changes
Hood Mk 6e - Middle turret replaced with landing pad, minor design changes
Hood Mk 6f - Aft turret replaced with flight deck, minor design changes (upwards-firing AA removed for some reason)
Hood Mk 7a - All turrets replaced with MSTs (powerful player-made turret made by Mega_Mystic, if I recall), horrible lift rating
Hood Mk 7b - Submersible variant, gun wiring needs work.
Hood Mk 8a - Artillery variant - the artillery gun shoots further than the artillery cannon found on SE cruisers

In total, this makes 19 Hood variants, 3 of which do not work well. 3 Hood variants were lost before I began making schematics of my ships. The original design was the only design that survived the period where I DIDN'T make schematics of my ships. The downwards-firing AA system was added to all of my designs after I came up with the idea some time after I made the Hood4a.
