Hi again everyone,

I've got a double build for you guys this time. I've built the WWII version of the Gnevnyy-Class (Project 7) Destroyers and the WWII version of Gremyashchiy in her finest camouflage. You've seen these ships before (if you know my content), as they were some of the first builds I posted a couple of years ago. The original versions were Cold War versions with modernised superstructure and different AA, so since I'm going through all of Russia's WWII and early Cold War-era destroyers, I figured I'd rebuild them in their late WWII condition. I've also thrown in a new ship, the Storozhevoy-Class (Project 7U) since they were meant to be "improved" Gnevnyy-Class destroyers and thus they share a hull and many of their characteristics, although they required completely different superstructures to be built.

First up is the Gnevnny-Class and Gremyashchiy. Like before, I used the WoWs Gremyashchiy as the camouflage reference, but I also used the model this time since the WoWs model of Gremyashchiy is the exact fit for the Gnevnyy-Class that I wanted to represent.

Statistics:

Length: 119 Blocks (Inc. Flag)
Beam: 15 Blocks (Inc. 76.2mm Guns)
Draught: 5 Blocks (Inc. Propeller)
Height: 34 Blocks

Primary Armament: 4 x 130mm/50 B-13-1 Pattern 1936 Guns [4 x 1]

Anti-Aircraft Armament: 2 x 76.2mm/55 34-K Pattern 1935 Guns [2 x 1], 4 x 37mm/67.5 70-K Guns [4 x 1], 4 x 12.7mm/90 M2 Browning Heavy Machine Guns [2 x 2], 2 x 12.7mm/79 DShK M38 Heavy Machine Guns [2 x 1]

Torpedo Armament: 6 x 533mm 53-38 Torpedoes [2 x 3] (No Reloads)

Anti-Submarine Armament: 2 x Depth Charge Rails (With accompanying depth charges)

As for the Storozhevoy-Class, I used the model of Soobrazitelnyy (which is the exact ship I'm trying to represent) from War Thunder, only in her 1945 condition instead. I changed the colour scheme to the more proper dark grey and red decks and made a few other changes as required, but otherwise, the model was very good. These ships differ from the Gnevnyy-Class destroyers in several ways. Most notably in having two funnels (to better protect the ship from losing engine power from a single hit to a funnel) and some additional AA guns, as well as some other superstructure changes. However, these changes didn't fix fundamental flaws already present in the original design and only added to them, so weren't regarded as very successful ships.

Statistics:

Length: 119 Blocks (Inc. Flag)

Draught: 5 Blocks (Inc. Propeller)
Height: 35 Blocks

Primary Armament: 4 x 130mm/50 B-13-2 Pattern 1936 Guns [4 x 1]

Anti-Aircraft Armament: 2 x 76.2mm/55 34-K Pattern 1935 Guns [2 x 1], 7 x 37mm/67.5 70-K Guns [7 x 1], 4 x 12.7mm/90 M2 Browning Heavy Machine Guns [2 x 2], 4 x 12.7mm/79 DShK M38 Heavy Machine Guns [4 x 1]

Torpedo Armament: 6 x 533mm 53-38 Torpedoes [2 x 3] (No Reloads)

Anti-Submarine Armament: 2 x Depth Charge Rails & 2 x Depth Charge Throwers (With accompanying depth charges)

So there you are! I hope you like these ships and don't mind the focus on Russian destroyers at the moment, there will be more to come. After I'm done with Russian destroyers, I intend to focus on another nation, but that's for later. For now, enjoy these ships and look forward to my next upload, whenever that will be. Speak soon!
