Welcome to Grand Roost
After working on extreme fantasy type maps, I wanted to try and make a more "traditional" landscape map. Ergo, I made this huge 8 km by 8 km map. I took a lot of inspiration from pictures in the United States National Parks with a lot of the biomes and I think they all turned out pretty great! This map was made with survival in mind, that means there are 5 unique types of structures in the world: a custom stronghold, village, pillager towers, shipwrecks, and vindicator mansion. However, I have also made normal Minecraft terrain generation outside of the borders of the map in case players want other structures or normal ones.
The map also features 21 unique handcrafted beautiful biomes. With how big the map is and how much variation there is, it is greatly encouraged that you explore the map to the fullest.
Note: There are a few custom biome colors that are implemented with a datapack.
You are free to use the map in any non-commercial capacity so long as you credit me as the mapmaker.
