[CLASSIFIED]
The Hellcat-Class Light Gunship is the most common gunship utilized by the United Nations Armed Forces. It was introduced in C.E. 2344.
Being a gunship, the Hellcat is equipped with generally heavier weaponry than other crafts of similar size, namely its four Class-2 Fully-Automatic Plasma Cannons. Accommodating such heavy weaponry on a small ship adds mass and reduces maneuverability, limiting the Hellcat's effectiveness in dog-fighting. Instead, the Hellcat is well-suited for defensive positions and sustained assaults against larger ships, especially when paired in a squad with other Hellcats.
