I present to everyone's attention the Ignalina nuclear power plant built in 1:1 minecraft scale. This facility is located in the north-east of Lithuania, near the border with Latvia and Belarus, and until 2009 it was the most powerful nuclear power plant in Eastern Europe. The station had two power units with unique RBMK-1500 type reactors, 1500 megawatts each (the total rated power, however, was 2600 megawatts due to technical features identified after construction and physical start-up). The construction of the nuclear power plant began in 1978, in the then Lithuanian SSR. The physical launch of the first block took place already in 1983, and the second only in 1987. Also it was planned to build the third and fourth units, moreover, the construction of the third was started already in 1985, but due to the well-known disaster at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, the construction of this and subsequent units was frozen, and as a result canceled altogether. Unfortunately, this majestic station did not work long enough. On February 19, 2001, the government of the Republic of Lithuania, at the request of the EU, approved a program for the shutdown and further decommissioning of the first unit of the Ignalina NPP, despite the fact that electricity generation at this plant was highly profitable. On December 31, 2004, the first block was stopped, the second on December 31, 2009. And a truly unique nuclear power plant has become history. A story of rise and fall.
