Have you heard? The kids at Blue Lakes are throwing a party! And you are invited!
Enter a fun and lively house full of colours and activities. You are guaranteed to never get bored as long as the party lasts.
The first thing I thought of when I saw Blue Lakes was America. This house totally looks like something you would see in a American family movie, perhaps an 80's one like Gremlins or E.T. - so that's where I took my starting point.
The living room is the messy center of the party, - the table is filled with pizza and other yummy foods, balloons are floating all around and toys and presents tossed on the ground.
And the kitchen is busy trying to keep up with all those hungry mouths demanding pizza. Probably where the poor mom is staying most day... When she isn't chasing naughty kids around.
Speaking of pizza - although this is by no means a horror build, I was a bit inspired by the atmosphere of some of the Five Night's at Freddy's games. There are even a few references scattered around the house. Can you spot them?
Once you have stuffed your stomach with pizza it is perhaps time for a little movement. Of course, the kids at Blue Lakes have a Dance Dance Revolution machine. They are the cool kids after all! (or maybe just spoiled).
If all that jumping up and down is giving you the side stitches though, sit down and play some fun tunes in the more quiet and cozy piano room. .... Wait, that's boring!
Arcade machines are much more fun! As you enter the second floor, you are immediately met with these cool machines that make every other kid in the neighborhood super jealous.
The second floor hosts the bathroom as well. Who says bath time should be a chore? Bring your toys and it will make it a fun splashy party! There isn't a single room in Blue Lakes that will make you bored.
And now for the bedrooms: there are two in the house, the blue and the pink one. Bedrooms are probably my faves to make, as they are such personal places that tell a story.
I definitely caught myself building some of the things I dreamed of as a child. Or stuff I saw at the cool kids' birthday parties.
The garage contains this beautiful machine, Dolly the Pink Hippo Car. Yep, that's a car. No, the kids are not allowed to drive it... Outside the neighborhood at least.
Lastly, in the basement, we find the doll workshop! Adorable little friends and plushies are given life here. I just find the small armor stands so adorable that I couldn't help myself make a room like this.
The outside is full of playthings too - pool, playground, sandy box among other features.I honestly prioritized the inside of the house much more than the garden, so the outside didn't turn out as interesting as I would have liked.
And there we have it! This is my entry for the Interior Decorators contest. I love interiors so this was such a joy to work on.Cheers!

This is the definition of outside-the-box thinking applied to a skilled interior designer.
Only thing I wonder if the bedrooms balcony's have some railing to prevent falling down the central hall. It is a bit missing in the PMCview3D.
Either way, solid entry fellow contestant.
Either way, it was definitive a solid entry
