M.E.L.O. - The Military Enforcement and Laboratorial Organization. Founded during the darkness of the Cold War, the United States government needed a new agency unlike the CIA which could collect intelligence without the public knowing of their existence. Authorized in 1959 by President Dwight Eisenhower and ratified by a bill that has never since seen the light of day. Today, a large portion of the government doesn't know that this organization exists. The agency specializes in advanced technological, biological, and chemical research; but acts as a form of special ops enforcement when necessary. To disguise facilities, M.E.L.O. buildings are registered as a Government Research Facility(GRF) or an FBI headquarters. Made up of 5 primary divisions: Enforcement Division, Logistics Division, Research Division, Public Relations Division, and the Executive Division. Each Division is headed by its own director to evenly distribute power and control. M.E.L.O. has been secretly serving and protecting the nation and the world from catastrophic events throughout recent history, and if all goes well they will continue to do so.
