About the project
Matsuhama is a side project I started working on back in July 2019, inspired by the landscapes I saw on my trip to Japan earlier that year. I noticed a relative lack of realistic Japanese small town maps online, so I thought I'd try to fill that niche somewhat. Matsuhama is loosely based on the real-life town of Takehara in Hiroshima Prefecture and the landscapes of the Seto Inland Sea region in general.
The first release comes with the central part of town, including the main commercial district and notable buildings such as a railway station, a city hall, a department store, many konbinis, Shinto shrines, a Buddhist temple and of course, a high school with a detailed interior.
My plan is to expand the city little by little and eventually build up the entire map. The next part to be released will be the old town filled with traditional Japanese buildings, located just north-east of the centre.
The map can be played on version 1.11.2 and newer. I recommend using Soartex Fanver combined with my custom textures included in the download.

Please ignore the progress percentage, it's not very accurate.

How to install my custom textures
If you already have the Soartex resource pack downloaded (or whichever resource pack basically) open that resource pack archive with an extractor like WinRAR or 7zip. If the resource pack is for version 1.11.2, you should be able to just drag and drop the contents of the "Custom Textures" folder (the folder named "assets" to be exact) into the resource pack archive.
If the resource pack is for a newer version of Minecraft, the folder names for textures (and texture filenames themselves) have changed slightly so you'll have to replace the textures manually.
