The 199-block long megayacht DALMATIAN is the result of a collaboration between myself and fellow Planet Minecraft user and minecraft yacht builder, Flexelsson.
A more traditional approach was taken for the design and palette of the yacht’s exterior. Spruce planks line the walls of the superstructure, accompanied by the standard quartz-white hull. The vast interior for DALMATIAN follows themes of oak planks and light plaid designs, complemented by blue, black, and sandstone accent materials. Large but sparse furniture and room layout gives this yacht an open yet comfortable feel, inspired by the ocean liners of the 1930s.
Guests aboard DALMATIAN will first come across the oversized lido deck aft on the main level. The main salon was pushed forward as well as up one deck to create this large space, featuring a semi-covered pool with waterfall, covered bar and lounge, as well as sun areas to both sides. Forward is the expansive salon and formal dining room, both open to a gallery above. Between are strategically-placed guest heads. The centerpiece of this yacht is a beautiful staircase, with glass sculpture running vertically upwards.
Other indoor amenities include a gym, spa, library, informal theater, sky lounge, and bar/lounge with panoramic ocean views. Notable outdoor amenities are a pool, multiple lounges and sun decks, two helicopter landing pads, two jacuzzis, tender garage with attached lounge, and beach club, aft on the lowest deck.
Motor yacht DALMATIAN comfortably sleeps 18 guests in 7 luxurious staterooms, each with its own private bathroom. In addition to this is the extravagant owners’ suite, situated on its own dedicated deck. This suite includes a private foyer and lounge, his and hers bathrooms, and a forward-facing, king size berth. Also on this deck is a large owners’ office. This vessel sleeps 46 crew in 16 crew cabins plus engineer’s cabin and captain’s cabin with quick bridge access.
Central to this yacht’s design is keeping crew and guest spaces separate. The transom and swim platform can be accessed without crew crossing the aft lido deck. As well, there are dedicated crew and guest staircases accessing nearly every level.
DALMATIAN is powered by three large diesel engines turning twin screws and rudders. Stabilizer fins are also incorporated into both sides of the hull.
