"In Norse mythology, Mjölnir (Old Norse: Mjǫllnir, IPA: [ˈmjɔlːnir]) is the hammer of Thor, a major Norse god associated with thunder. Mjölnir is depicted in Norse mythology as one of the most fearsome weapons, capable of leveling mountains." - Wikipedia.

Hi.

This is a battleship inspired by a fellow builder Rossky, who has developed his own unqiue styles of airship, this one follows the Nordic scheme as a few others, and as a result is inspired by both the Asgard Hybrid Battle Carrier Battleship, as well as the Valkyrie Class Battleship.

A few days into building this ship I decided that I wanted to go with a lightning themed ship, just because I thought it would be fun and I like the way the blue looked against the rest of the battleship, and with a bit of brainstorming I decided to name the vessel "Mjölnir", as it both ties in with the Nordic scheme, as well as representing it's unique trait, which is being able to redirect lightning.

The ship itself features lightning rods running down the battleship, with a faint arcs of lightning covering the body of the ship, as well as the large crystalline emitter found beneath the ship.

Additional Information
- The experimental battleship was designed with the prototype lightning arc technology, and remains the first and only of its kind.
- Although orginallity meant to be 300 metres long, the original blueprints were redrawn due to the engineering corp finding too many faults with the original design, and hence the current vessel is 500 metres long, with signifcant width added also to compensate for the ship's requirements.
- Originallity designed as a specialised support unit in order to counter the Redeemer Class Gunship.
- As the alloy frame created is both highly durable as well as a good conductor of electricity, it was very heavy in comparrison to other battleships of its time, and thus required 3 seperate engines to meet the speed and maneuverability of the other vessels.
- As a result the ship lacked in other areas. The hanger had to be signifcantly smaller in order to store more plasma batteries, as well as energy shields being cut from development due to its high power consumption.
- Although the Mjölnir vessel had relative success in the field of battle, it's maintenance requirements and highly volatile nature of this battleship was considered too difficult for mass production, and hence was retired.
- This battleship has since been decommissioned, and lies dorment in the B-341 shipyard.

Ship Guide - Rossky
As many of you may have known, this ship was inspired by Rossky, and I wouldn't been able to complete the ship to this standard if not for his lovely guide, as well as him answering the many questions I had regarding the style of ship and it's lore. As this is the first spaceship I have made, the guide was very easy to understand and straight-forward, and not to mention this style of ship is both very fun to make and super rewarding. I built this project over 3-4 weeks, on and off, as I had schoolwork to finish as well which made things a little complicated.

Renders
A huge thanks to a few individuals who were lovely enough to spend their time to create a few renders for the project you see before you.

Anything under 500 inches isn't considered a gun tbh.

I couldn't agree more, and if you're interested in building a ship similar to the style presented, I'd highly suggest you check out the guide Rossky created on his PMC. You'd be surprised how fast it comes together :)
