This is a build entry for the Building Contest created and hosted by Ang333. :) For this my theme was toys and my competitor for it is SuperMinecrafz with the entry of William the Conqueror and his giant teddy-bear mount. :)
Check it out of you're curious, please. :D
But as for my own entry, of course, which is in an attempt to compete with that... This build was of course largely hand-made - and to be frank some of it was a bit rushed, as may be quite noticeable with things such as the teddy, but I tried anyway with the time used! :) -, with the reason being for it being almost solely hand-made being the contest rule of "And yes you can use world edit but you can't exceed that way who doesnt have it has a chance.". :) Since- Otherwise I'd definitely have used it quite a bit more, as I've been wanting to try things like making a picket fence out of spikes but I chose to limit it to mostly hand-building here, so that I did. ^~^
With that in mind... The build is of a rather upscaled house - far larger than the player - to create a large scene, where originally what I had in mind was something such as Toy Story but instead started wandering onto thoughts like teddybears and a jack in the box and a helicopter and doll and even a flying drone and a bouncy ball, adding a rocket held in the adult's one hand and a toy soldier - and a rather large toy soldier at that - in the other. o: A perceptive eye may even notice that the toy soldier has set the rocket on fire, so who knows what's about to happen next... Since I still wanted this to be alike to toy story after all. :)
Still, yes, the most important thing is the picket fences. I do quite like picket fences- Don't we all? Do we all? I'm not really sure- I know I do though. It's a lot more pleasant than most fences after all, and that's especially so when I get to be lenient in how I make them with the style of building I have. :D Hurrah!
But uh the path leads to nowhere so I guess this person's isolated in space...
Anyhow! Ignoring their totally lonely isolation, it is important to address what's said in the title: You are never too old to play around with toys. You don't get "too old" to do something like play around with toys or play a game or else- Sure, you can be too old to do some things around specific people or involving specific people, and there's still general limitations of what's morally reasonable as I'd hope is clearly known, but you're not going to be too old to have fun. Even in the late 60s to 70s to 80s and even 90s, if you don't get too caught up in some sense of elderliness you'll still get to relax through it all; don't get too stressed, try to be true to yourself, and that's certainly better than getting too old to smile. (:
Always remember to let yourself have the freedom to enjoy the life you have. ^~^
You may not like it all, and- Well, rather, you will not like it all, and that's a fact, but it's best to at least allow yourself the chance to enjoy the times you can, even if it may seem a bit embarrassing at times to do something like sing or play a game or do something that people wouldn't expect of you, because at least that way you get to smile as yourself because of it. :)
Have fun, all. ^~^
And thank you for reading this. :D
