Level 51 : Grandmaster Cake

This is a 1:1 scale reconstruction of the Notre-Dame Cathedral as it would have appeared in the Late Middle Ages.
This has been in the works for a while, but in light of recent events it felt right to finish it fully.

This build contains the entire cathedral before its early modern transformations. Including the original spire, colorful polychrome facade, rood screen and altar.

Enjoy and please do not use any flint & steel on the roof, thank you.

If I were to do that, I'd have to redo it from scratch, since my building style has vastly improved since 2019. Plus, I think building it the way it looks now would just be kinda boring personally, everybody is doing that, not very many people build it as it was in the Middle Ages like I did.

Thank you! Managing to include all the small details/ornaments when building in a 1:1 scale can indeed be quite the challenge depending on the building. Adding too much detail will make it too busy, but adding to little will make it too blocky.

I hope I struck a good balance between the two.

It's not really gone, only the roof and spire burned down. Even the stained glass windows survived. It can be rebuilt.
