Optimized for Conquest 32x32 + Optifine
Obrigueran is a massive worldpainter map I made a long time ago. It's a temperate continent divided into several vast biomes arranged in an adventure-style linear fashion from east>west>north, intercut by rugged mountain ranges. There are a handful of empty castles on the map, but it's essentially wilderness with lots of natural features. Here are the regions and landmarks, I need to post this guide since it's so big and you'll get lost in it :
- Summer plains to the southwest, wheat fields and apple trees on rolling grass hills surrounding a large white castle and bordered by the seashore south and west. To the north, transitions to evergreen highlands culminating to a huge steep fjord dividing north from south
- Rocky grasslands immediately west of the prairie, dotted by rock formations and 2 ruined forts. This is a transition zone to the rocky, autumn colored mixed forest region in the center-south, where an abandoned stone castle with deep gullies and dark secrets can be found across the river.
- Going further west after the castle and crossing a vast mixed forest, one hits the eastern coast mountain range, where a valley pass splits north and south. To the south the path climbs to a series of elevated lakes and waterfalls overlooking steep gorges surrounded by sharp peaks, descend and give way to a huge peninsula extends into the ocean covered by warm grasslands culminating to tall white stone cliffs and sea stacks, resembling the Mediterranean.
- On the north path of the eastern coast valley, the mountains create a steep division to evergreen woods below which rapidly become very cold and covered in snow. As the terrain gets more chaotic, the boreal forest eventually give way to barren, freezing cold tundra all the way to the icy northern coast. Eventually a bridge of ice floes leads to an enormous steep island buried under hundreds of meters of ice, its inhospitable surface comprised entirely of networks of deadly crevices and ragged ice formations. Somewhere on it lies a large, mysterious pyramid-like ice structure.
- To the west of all this are vast swaths of nothing but snowy mountain country all the way to the to the northwest coast, which descends into a huge territory of snowless, windy gravel tundra waterlogged with bays and inlets. As one goes back down south grass begins to grow again and the land eventually joins with the fjord in the middle of the map.
- Slightly west in the very center of the map, a tall plateau above the northern side of the fjord shelters a small but deep valley on its side which contains a cold swamp filled with willows and ancient dead trees, dark secrets buried beneath the bogs.
And that's all folks, had to release it since I won't be doing anything with it and there's lots to explore. It's absolutely vast. I encourage you to flesh it out however you want, use it for a server, a lore, or anything you please with this map. Have fun.
