Today, we're presenting our newest addition to the surroundings of the palace and is already fitted to the garden area. The inside is ready for occupancy but lacks most of its furniture. This is where YOU come in. Feel free to add the missing furniture up to your favour and imagine the opulent times of the late 18^th century. Decorate the rooms for our dear chancellor Mitch, his wife Catherine, their butler Rodolphe Bonnaire, their maid Elize Vernault and any future guests they might welcome.

Le Beau Chateauette, earlier known as the Palais du Prince Héritier and now the Palais du Chancelier, or Cliffside Manor (regarding to it’s unique position), or Mitch Mansion (after it’s current inhabitant), in Prussien also known as "schönes Schatöchen"; is a ridiculously ornated C-shaped building, located southern to Palais Castaire.

The plans for the building went back to the time as Lucrécy got designated as capital of whole Castaire and the huge extensions which were made in this period. Together with Palais Castaire, Nathanaël II planned a separate building right next to the palace for his heir Steve Stéphane Sacrecouronne and for any future heirs to live there.
This building should be linked to the new chancellory so the Prince Impérial could easily participate in political debates from the new parliament and report to the Empereur. Regarding to its size the palais got finished a year prior to the completation of Palais Castaire, but Nathanaël did not want to send Steve already there because this would separate the family. The movement of the imperial family was planned as soon as Palais Castaire was to be finished and thus, the new palais remained empty for some more years. Unfortunately he died before moving into the new palace and thus, his son Steve I got coronated and moved into the palace instead of the Palais du Prince Héritier.

With a more liberal understanding of the new enlightened movement among the population, Steve I was willing to share a bit of this power and created the new office of the Chancelier and appointed his brother Mitch for it. Therefore the Palais du Prince Héritier was renamed to the Palais du Chancelier and Mitch and his wife Catherine became its first inhabitants.

Like Palais Castaire, the Beau Chateauette is built in the so called castairien Baroque Impériale with many fancy towers and complicated roof constructions. According to its unique property, the west-wing of the building had to be based on pillar foundations. The main terrace is directly at the cliff and features an uncomparable view of the Violaine and the inland harbor of the imperialty.

The inside offers a huge amount of rooms for its inhabitants. Besides the entrance hall and the loggia there are several rooms to meet important people like the smoking lounge, the fireplace lounge and the reception hall. There is also a huge library next to the chancellor’s office which is linked to the Chancellory with a small bridge. For the private needs there are separate bedrooms for the chancellor and his wife, a children bedroom, a guest room and a private living room. Even the butler and the maid got their rooms inside the chateau.
