[Æonis] - A Minecraft Building Server

General information

Æonis, an earth-like planet orbiting Esterelle, a star not unlike the sun, houses several hundreds of nations on 7 continents. The so called “Old World” is Esradon, a continent in the northern hemisphere in a temperate climate further ranging from maritime in the west to continental climate in the east. It’s current hegemonial power is Castaire, an empire dominating especially western Esradon, supported by its powerful ally Cantoras. It has to defend its position against its aspiring neighbours Escaloña, which rules a spacious colonial empire in the New World, and Osterlitz, a small but powerful nation in the east, which wants to acquire an imperial crown too. Those powers for sure have their own fight to fear, but for all the smaller nations, the politics of the grandeur has huge impacts, and thus supporting striving for power amongst the small nations.

This whole setting concludes our actual plans for our Minecraft server, where we are currently trying to recreate a small part of Castaire, namely its capital Lucrécy with the surrounding kingdom of Chastain, including several cities (Mallais) and villages (Liramond, Boisville, Elrymére, Ravone etc.).

Lucrécy is an imperial city, meaning its style is very representative and shows off the riches of the empire, especially in the main areas of the city. Nonetheless, riches didn’t come from nothing, so another big part of the city, apart from the main boulevards and plazas, consists of craftsmen houses and even some very new industrial areas, like the new train depot with the central station. Facades are mainly executed with sandstone and white pillars for subdivision, with spacious windows to allow an enlightened interior. Furthermore, the capital features several landmarks as the Imperial Palace or the newly constructed Sacre-Cœur de Lucrécy, a splendid cathedral in honour of Impératrice Belle.

The smaller villages are mainly completed, but for sure, an empire needs much more than 4 or 5 villages, so there are more to be created and developed in the future.

What we are looking for

- nice people to participate in our projects
- builders with experience in various styles, mainly renaissance/baroque/classicism/victorian or medieval, nordic
- you should be able to work autonomously and be creative
- bringing in own ideas and discuss them to find new perspectives
- if you aren't into building, but want to contribute either we will for sure find possibilities (lorewriting, skins, graphics, renders etc.), every contribution is appreciated :D

What we (try to) provide

- competent staff and stable server hosting
- showing you some new techniques of how we detail builds
- an immersive feeling supported by our many thoughts of religion, economy etc.

How to apply

We are currently a whitelisted server, thus you have to apply. There will be no "form" to fill in, just tell us a little bit about yourself, why you want to join us and show us some of your recent work (via imgur, for example).
