Description:
The standard series of panel houses P-3 was developed in the late 70s. It is especially common in the Moscow metro region. Along with the P-44, it is considered one of the most successful and durable series. Initially, the P-3 series had 16 floors, then by the mid-80s another extra floor was added, but the layout stayed the same. The internal plans of the buildings consists of 4 apartments and rotary sections containing 8 apartments. The P-3 series is recognized as one of the most successful standard construction series. It went into mass construction due to its economic characteristics, and for its time was the undisputed design. In the late eighties and early nineties, the P-3 series was replaced by a new modernized P-3M series.
In Moscow, they were built mainly in the areas: Yasenevo, Teply Stan, Belyaevo, Olympic Village, Troparevo, Cheryomushki and others.
