Resin Brook is a terrain in a style I've never done before - just a normal, semi-forested mountain valley with a river going through it - peaceful in atmosphere. It took me quite a few tries to get it right, but in the end I'm happy with the result. Walking in the shadow of the hill is a serene experience, and walking along the banks of the brook is very relaxing in a way I've never done before. Trees are around the place but it's far from being fully forested, yet it's perfect for reading a book under, watching the stream and the animals and the life around it.
Resin Brook took me a fair few tries to get right - I had a lot of issues with getting the rock and tree cover exactly right. I've tried many new methods - I used cyan clay as a stone highlight (thanks Gabersid!) and it really adds to the atmosphere. I used a different method of making rivers that I've been developing and I'm extremely happy with how it worked, however I feel it should have been a little narrower in some places in hindsight. I've also used more terrain heights than usually, with some rohan-style hills adding to the height and depth of the map - these small hills are most visible in the second picture.
