THE GLOBE THEATRE
HISTORY
In this project I have recreated the world famous Globe Theatre in London. The Globe Theatre was originally built in 1599 to preform Shakespeare's plays in. In 1613 it was destroyed by a fire but a second theatre was built the next year, the theatre remained open until it closed down 1642. A modern reconstruction was built in 1997 and is still open today.
DESCRIPTION
The Globe Theatre is a circular shaped Tudor style building which is made of timber. I have recreated the globe from the modern floor plans (See Below) and from pictures on the internet. The build includes in great detail all of the features of the real stage area and the outside of the building .
