The Trippy Appliances factory is one of my older projects on Greenfield. It was something that I started back in early 2016, and it has seen many Greenfield updates. As all things are, it does not last forever, and after a while, it started to fall short of the rigid Greenfield building standards. So it was deleted, and I was lucky enough to snag the same area to build a new, much more up to date factory. I based it somewhat heavily on the old factory, with its American early 1900's vibes. Greenfield is supposed to be in California, and because of that I can probably say I based this build too much on factories you'd find on America's east coast. It doesn't entirely fit the area Greenfield is supposed to be located in, but I am super happy with how it turned out in the end none the less. Keeping with my theme, I kept it dark and dingy, with high ceilings and a very utilitarian feeling. As with any real life industry, everything is meant to be sturdy and industrious.
The factory, or manufacturing plant to seem official, contains a large manufacturing area, managers offices, a warehouse/small distribution center, and a train loading dock. A company store is also attached, so people can come and shop for their favorite appliance brand right at the factory. Trippy Appliances is a fictional appliance superstore in the made up world of Greenfield, much like a real life Sears. They sell ovens, refrigerators, microwaves, toasters ranges, cook tops, range hoods, washers/driers, freezers, and grills.
As an omage to the once anticipated toilet model in the Greenfield Official Texture pack, I still kept the idea of Trippy Appliances selling toilets alive and well. This is not so any more, that idea was abandoned long ago. This is the reason for the giant smokestacks, although it was a requirement for building a factory in that area of Greenfield, so I had to do them whether or not I wanted to haha. Old description before I updated this page
Trippy Appliances is a chain superstore company that sells appliances in the city of Greenfield. This factory makes all the appliances that are distributed to the 8 current locations in Greenfield. This factory has a main floor with all the production machines to produce ovens, refrigerators, microwaves, ranges, range hoods, grills, and toilets. The factory also contains the headquarters for appliance designs. Off to the side, a factory store is attached, where the merchandise is sold. A distribution center is also contained in the factory. The factory was originally a paint factory, but when the company went out of business in 1983, Trippy Appliances (formerly Trippy Ovens) bought it out and set up shop where they remain today.

Back in January of 2019, I had the opportunity to completely redo my Trippy Appliances factory. This little gem of mine first appeared in Greenfield version 0.5.0, and had since become substandard in terms of building quality. I had meant to update this submission with how the new factory looks, I just hadn't gotten around to doing it I guess. So finally - here it is! The completely reworked Trippy Appliances Factory, or Manufacturing Plant, whatever you want to call it. I've also updated the description to be more like my newer ones. The project pictures were of course updated as well. That's it for now!
