The Church of the Nativity of saint John the baptist located in the middle between the trading rows, and the kremlin on the right bank of the kamenka river is a stone winter church built in 1739. It forms an ensemble along with the Church of the epiphany which was built in 1781.
Both churches are reconstructions of former wooden churches that were located here. In the 17th century they burned down.
When the churches were originally built is not sure, but they were likely built as reconstruction after the former churches possibly burned down already in the 15th century due to the tatarian raid.

Unfortunately there is no information about its former appearance avaiable, aside of that it was made out of wood. The build is based around the shape of the current church, but in style of russian vernacular architecture.
