Hello,

Only three ships left to go now. These are the best three ships I've built in Minecraft so far and we're starting with the Type 23 Frigate which I built last year in August. This is my favourite modern Royal Navy vessel and I obsessed over Lord Dakr's original build of it and made a multitude of improvements when I first got around to building it. However, now knowing how to build ships myself, I could build a much more detailed and accurate model myself so that's what I've done. I love the way this ship looks IRL and so I was very excited to build it in Minecraft, and I'm delighted with how it's turned out.

These ships are the mainstay of our surface fleet, although sadly over the next ten years, these will be replaced by the upcoming Type 26 City-class frigates. Their main purpose is anti-submarine warfare, as these are quiet ships, but also general fleet duties and escort work. These are workhorse ships. Armament is as follows:

1 x 113mm/55 BAE Systems Mark 8 Mod 0 Gun [1 x 1]
2 x 30mm/75 Oerlikon DS30M Mark II or DS30B Autocannons [​2 x 1]
2 x 7.62mm M134 Miniguns [​2 x 1]
4-6 x 7.62mm FN MAG General-Purpose Machine Guns [​4-6 x 1]
4 x 324mm Sting Ray ASW Torpedoes [2 x 2]
1 x 32-Cell Sea Ceptor GWS 35 Vertical Launching System Canisters For 32 Missiles [1 x 32]
8 x Harpoon Anti-Ship Missiles [2 x 4]

In addition to this formidable array of weaponry, the ship carries a helicopter and usually anti-submarine capability in the form of air-dropped ASW torpedoes.

This ship took a long while to build, over a number of days and a huge amount of detail was put in place. I didn't base the ship on any one particular named example of a Duke-class frigate, so there may be some discrepancies between different members of the class.
