Dark Banana is a part of a void, that in a weird glitch came into the overworld. He had to dress in rags, so the rest of the void would not locate him easily. He began to be friendly, but was rejected entirely. He accidently absorbed people and became an outlaw. As a joke everyone called him Dark Banana, but having no other ideas, he declared himself being Dark Banana. Afterwards, he has vowed his revenge upon the species that first insulted him... the humans.

Although, I do have to say that the back story is a bit too over-epic-isized. Try not to make him have such a "awesome dark" history. :P
Also, making the series sadder will actually make it more epic.
