Dude

Dude was born with his powers. When he was born the chemical powered generator at the hospital malfunctioned and exploded sending an electromagnetic wave threw out the hospital. On this day only two babies were born one being Matt Powers (Later to be Dude) and the other Kevin Grey.

Matt grew up to be a healthy young boy always very active. He was the head of the soccer team, the best swimmer on the swim team, the head of the school paper, and he even had a job at the local comic book store. Needless to say Matt was the most popular kid in his school.

Everyday Matt would read comics about superheroes and he longed to be one, he always felt like he was destined to do bigger and better things. One day as Matt was walking home from school he noticed a cat stuck in a tree. There was no way Matt could just leave the cat. Matt put down his backpack and climbed the tree to the cat. As Matt went to reach for the cat, the branch he was on snapped which caused him to fall.

Matt hit the asphalt of the road and got up. Matt looked up in the tree to see of the cat was okay, which it was. As Matt was staring at the cat thinking how he could get it out a careless driver was speeding down the road. Matt didn't notice the driver until it was too late and the car was hitting him.

If Matt were a normal person this would have killed him but surprisingly Matt got right back up from the wreckage and pulled the driver out. When the driver came to he asked Matt what happened and Matt told him that he hit the tree.

When Matt got home that day he told his parents about what happened and asked why he walked away like nothing happened to him. His parents looked at each other and told Matt about when he was born how the generator at the hospital exploded, they told him that was the best guess as to why he had these powers, they also told him how when he was younger all the things he would do like picking up the couch and moving around really fast.

From what his parents had told him Matt figured out that he was super fast, strong, and nearly invincible. Matt wondered if had any other powers then he wondered if anyone else had powers. Matt asked his parents if they knew if anyone else was affected by the generator and they told him that only one other person was born that day. Matt decided that he would find this other person.

The next day Matt went to the hospital where he was born to find out any information on the kid. They told him the address of the child and Matt went to go see him. When Matt arrived at the house he saw that it was an old run down house with holes in the roof. Matt knocked on the door and some person around Matt's age answered, this person was all scared up and his skill was very pale almost a gray color, Matt asked if he was Kevin Grey. The boy answered and said that he was.

That was when Matt told him about how he was born on the same day as him and about the generator and how it gave him powers. As Kevin listened to Matt's story all Kevin could do was build up anger, why was his life so good why did he get to be popular and live in a nice house have good things, all Kevin got was a life full of disappointment, his parents had died when he was five and he had to live on the streets until finally he moved into his old family home, he had nothing but scars from his birth, Kevin built up this hatred for Matt.

When Matt was done with his story Kevin asked him to leave. Matt was astonished he couldn't believe that Kevin would kick him out, all Matt was doing was trying to help. Kevin then let out his rage and started to push Matt out the door. Matt only wanted to help but he knew that you couldn't help everyone. From that day forward Matt knew what he was destined for, he was meant to be a super hero and help people. That day Matt went home and made a suit and then became Dude.

Kevin on the other hand didn't want to help people after hearing Matt story he decided that he would do everything in his power to stop Matt. Kevin didn't tell Matt this but he also had a power, he could drain the life from people, Kevin decided that he would become the most feared villain ever.
