Before she became the queen of embers alexandrine was a gifted archaeologist with a passion for learning and discovering new things, until one day a major discovery in the valley of the kings changed her life: an ancient tomb where the evil sorceress Benkaei has rested for many centuries after she was put to death for committing unspeakable crimes against the people of Egypt. When Alexandrine entered the tomb Benkaeis spirit infested her body and a battle for control began inside of Alexandrine. Being a stubborn young woman alexandrine refused to relinquish control of her body, and for two painful years, a constant battle raged inside her mind a battle of good and evil and power vs powerless. One of the more interesting perks of having an evil somewhat undead sorceress possess her body was that she now had the power of pyrokinesis and the flames that she now controlled could heal or hurt someone depending on her will, but the more she used her newly found powers the more her mind began to slip into the grasps of Benkaei. After a disastrous rescue mission went wrong Theseus was mortally wounded, and the only thing that could save him would be the magic that only Benkaei knew how to use. Knowing what she had to do Alexandrine granted the sorceress full control of her mind, soul and body; healing Theseus but damning herself to the side of evil in the process.

Desperate to free their friend Nori and Theseus scour the globe for the mythical silver bone knife that legend says is capable of trapping a soul inside of it without drawing a single drop of blood from the intended target, with any luck Alexandrine would be safe and sound before the year was out.

After months of searching the pair finally find the knife destined to save alexandrine.

hesitating slightly nori picked up the bone dagger and plunged it down into alexandrines chest...

Flames sparked up around the knife and Benkaei screamed out in agony as her soul was swiftly sucked into the knife, alexandrine lay cold and still for what felt like an eternity to Theseus, when suddenly she let out a massive gasp, her shining gold eyes shot open and she sat bolt upright in the medical bed.

"Theseus?" alexandrine stared at her friend, a massive grin plastered across his face. "I'm alive?" Theseus nodded

"did you think I was going to let you die alexandrine?"
"But what about Benkaei where is she?" Nori gestured to the silver knife lying in a circle of salt and sage

"she's trapped inside the knife until we can move her soul into a more secure location, but you don't have to worry about her anymore."

"I wouldn't be so sure," Nina appeared from out of nowhere and picked up the knife "I'm sick and tired of being powerless and ignored and I won't have it anymore!" Taking the silver blade in her steady hands she plunged it into her chest and was engulfed by flames

"NINA, WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING?" Alexandrine exclaimed jumping out of the bed with a wobble in a desperate attempt to grab the knife but it was too late, a skin-tight red bodysuit materialised upon Nina reminiscent of the outfit Alexandrines first donned after coming into contact with Benkaeis soul

Nori attempted to seal Nina and Benkaei inside a protective bubble but was thrown back by the sheer willpower that the pair exerted, "Nina, please stop you don't know what you're doing!" Alexandrine cried out "She twists your mind, manipulates you!"

"are you kidding me?" Nina laughed "This power, this is what I've always wanted, what I have desired ever since you came back from that tomb with glowing red eyes!"

Alexandrine stumbled towards her former friend, severely weakened from the time spent as a hostage in her own body, but she could feel a power in her body the same power she felt when first became the Queen Of Embers

Flames licked at her fingertips and her gold eyes glowed as she approached her old friend with a hand outstretched "please Nina, take my hand!"

"Nina is dead, I am firebrand now,"

Suddenly a giant explosion rocked the facility and in a flash, firebrand was gone.
