He is a shady character. All we know is that he is the some kind of narrator. Is is suspected that he is secretly a FBI agent, researching about the HeistDay story (The gang is called HeistDay). Others suspect that he was once a criminal, and never got to be in the gang, and is now telling the story of the gang. The most popular theory, that he was the voice that told directions to the gang.
